DEFECT IN NEW CAR
DEFECT IN NEW CAR
SWIFT D’ZIRE ZXI

Sir:

I have purchased one new Maruti Suzuki , Swift D'zire ZXI in Dec- 2008 through CSD from ABT limited No 29 Whannels road (opposite Albert theatre ) Egmore Chennai.

2. I have following complaint

a) the dealer never showed the car witch I have purchased till delivery that to after evening 6:00 clock with limited light at their godown

b) After taking the delivery driving out of Chennai on highway at speed of 40 km/ph the vehicle was noted drifting to left, matter was reported to Mr. Kartic of ABT dealer and he advised that wheel alignment need to be done which may be done at any authorized dealer and the bill amount will be refunded. But he never refunded the money.

c) While topping up water in wind shield cleaning tank, tank was founded leaking. Same was replaced on, advised of Mr. Kartic as it was manufacturing defect but money not refunded.

(d) Before second free servicing Bonnet paint was found rough. Matter was taken up with Regional Office Bangalore, Mr. Vikram. After inspection by authorized dealer (Bimal Automobiles) it was established that some body work had been carried out before delivery of the new vehicle and very poor quality of paint as well as job has been done, showing dust bubbles on the fender and on the bonnet. The matter is pending with Regional Office for more than 3 months and no decision has been taken finally.

4. I had lodged a complain at – Anytime Maruti on 08th Oct 09 and it seems to me that MUL is not all interested in customer services. My Complaint No. is 4828154122.

5. From the act of the dealer it is evident that dealer was trying to push through a damaged car, redone. It is my request that as a redone car has been sold without any intimation, amounts to breach of customer’s trust and cheating. You are requested to look into the matter and take necessary action to at least replace the damaged fender and bonnet and initiate disciplinary action against dealer with a copy to customer.
