Verbally abused by Salesman

I am writing this letter in regards to the awful experience we had yesterday at this dealership. We were verbally abused and harassed and we did nothing to deserve it. Something needs to be done about this.
My husband spoke to Jerry at 128 Volvo on the phone yesterday and asked him if he had vehicles on his lot with certain options. Jerry told him he couldn’t deal with him unless he came in. I also called and Jerry told me the same thing. (Frustrating that he couldn’t take two seconds to actually look for us.)
So, I took off from work and hour early, got a babysitter, drove from my office in North Cambridge to Braintree to get my husband and drove all the way up to the Wakefield (2.5 hours) so we could see all the cars Jerry said he had on the lot. Jerry had said there were too many of them and that we would just have to come and see and that he can’t give us any information over the phone. (Un-professional).
So against my husband’s better judgment and already frustrated that Jerry couldn’t answer questions over the phone, we met with Jerry. At that point, Jerry told us he only had ONE car to show us and sure enough, it didn’t have the options that we were asking for. We had been two previous VOLVO dealers and have been researching prices- we are informed, educated buyers. So I simply asked Jerry “Are these prices negotiable?” He would not answer my question. Finally, I said “this is a yes or no question, are these negotiable?” and he said “No”.
So after a huge waste of money/gas, and what ended up being 4 hours of our time, I told Jerry, “Ok, we are done here.” That was it…so we thought. At this point in time…Jerry proceeded to get into the vehicle and peeled out, obviously to make a statement. “How rude”, we thought. As we got closer to our own vehicle, Jerry started screaming at us from across the lot and I quote…
“You two are the rudest people I have ever met. The problem isn’t with dealerships, it is with you! Get off my Lot” and then the kicker “F***k You.”
Jerry was screaming at us so loudly that the people inside the dealership were now pressed up against the window watching this transpire. The problem here is Jerry. Not us. What I want to know: is this acceptable behavior by a Volvo professional?
