SIT4LESS chair purchase NIGHTMARE SERVICE

| I bought a chair from sit4less online. When it came it was so huge( could not get those details by looking online) and I called to say that this chair would fit a 1000 pound gorilla. They said they would pick up that chair if I upgraded to another. I spent another $500 which included the $250 credit for the chair they would pick up. They were responsible for the call tag. When the new chair arrived by FED EX I tried to get the driver to pick up the old chair. He said he did not have a call tag. I immediately called the company and they assured me it would be picked up. A month went by. I called again. Again they said it would be picked up. This went on with no one picking up the merchandise. I called them three times. Whose job is it to assure they issue a call tag? I had already wasted my own time doing their job .Now, I had paid in full at the time of the exchange and it is reflected on the invoice including their responsibility for issuing a pick up call tag. It is right on the invoice. I run a business too, and at this point the boxed up chair was sitting in my warehouse waiting. I have had incidents where the company didn't want to spend the money on a pick up and no matter what I did it never did get picked up and that was the end of the story. I had to donate the merchandise to get it out of my warehouse. The original chair was 250 dollars and I upgraded to a 729 dollar chair. I made every attempt to get this thing gone. Whose job is it anyway? It went on so long that I actually forgot that the chair was sitting in my warehouse still waiting to be picked up. Over a year goes by and I never once got any calls,letters or notification of any kind from sit4less about this issue in spite of my attempts to resolve this. Not once, not ever, until yesterday when a rude and obnoxious person from a collection agency called me threatening to sue me for payment. It had been so long that I had to refresh my memory. I looked up the invoice and it said paid in full. I went to the warehouse and asked an employee"remember that chair that was to be picked up? He said it is still here boxed up waiting. I called the company and they too were rude, said I can only deal with the collection agent and he would not give me any data on when or how they ever tried to resolve this with me before referring this to the collection agent. Before the manager in accounting ever asked my name or invoice number he said"we made every attempt to contact you". I said, how do you know made an attempt when you do not even know who I am. In fact they never did.He told me that now that it is with collections he wasn't interested in talking to me. He hung up on me. They dropped the ball and at the end of the year someone just decided that it was my fault the chair was never returned and turned me over to this horrible agent for collection. Their mistake, that I could not resolve, now they won't talk to me, hung up on me , and I am now stuck with paying for a chair I didn't want, that I tried in vain to get them to pick up, and I have to be treated like a criminal in return. I am paying for THEIR incompetence. If I had the time I would like to sue them for the stress but for an amount of $200 I don't have the time to get justice. All they had to do was contact me. They say they did, but the truth is they did not. I am taking the time to post this as I want all consumers to beware of this company so that other honest folks like myself don't have to go through something like this. Buy from anyone else but sit4less. This includes Healthy back stores who are also affiliated. I spent $2000 dollars in chairs from them that year and this is how I am treated? Once your are referred to a collection agent there is no resolving anything, and they would rather do this than take the time at the time to make sure that the customer is satisfied. BEWARE OF sit4less.Tell anyone you know . This company deserves to be bankrupt.The invoice number is 3022468 and I tried to speak with Peter in the accounting department of sit4less. I asked to speak with his supervisor or someone above him and he just told me he is in charge of the whole thing and hung up on me. What I would like is for sit4less to finally pick up this chair and cancel the collections agent that they erroneously sent my account to. sit4less tells me this in impossible once it is sent to collections. If this is true I would still like to know dates and times and addresses that they tried to contact me. I would like proof as I know they never did and they are not willing to communicate back on this. I can be contacted by the company using the invoice number if they are will to finally resolve their mistake. In the meantime, I am being threatened by the collections company to pay or be sued. I fear I must pay as sit4less could care less. |
